- WWE will tape ECW on Sci-Fi and this Friday Night's SmackDown tonight from Grand Rapids, Michigan at the Van Andel Arena.

Confirmed for tonight's ECW is The Miz vs. ECW Champion Kane in singles action and Matt Striker's Classroom with returning guest Mick Foley. Colin Delaney also will be in the house with his new theme song to sign his ECW contract.

No matches have been confirmed for the SmackDown tapings but the official preview from WWE promises more Judgment Day hype and mentions the undefeated streaks of Natalya Neidhart and Vladimir Kozlov.

- Triple H is said to still be in the running for the lead role in Marvel's upcoming movie Thor, which is scheduled to be released in late spring 2010. The other lead candidate for the role is Kevin McKidd of HBO's Rome series.

- Bret Hart speaking with Florida Championship Wrestling talent two weeks ago was not planned. Bret was in Florida hanging out with a friend from TNA when Natalya Neidhart asked him if he could come down to the FCW center to speak in front of the wrestlers. It was an impromptu thing and Bret reportedly enjoyed it.

- The official theme song for WWE's Judgment Day pay-per-view will be Zididada's "Take It All."

- WWEshop.com has just released WrestleMania 24 tribute plaques from the ECW Title and World Heavyweight Title matches. The plaques have signed photos of Kane and The Undertaker along with pieces of the ring canvas.

- WWE has also just released a new Stone Cold Steve Austin Bobblehead doll.

- If you missed it on RAW last night, Randy Orton came out to a brand new theme song. We've seen two different reports from fans saying the song is either "Fixation on the Darkness" by Killswitch Engage or "The Ripper" by Chinchilla. Killswitch Engage has done previous songs for WWE including CM Punk's. If anyone else out there has any idea the artist and title of Orton's new theme, please let me know.

- Josh sent along the following recap of last night's dark main event after RAW went off the air:

Dark Main Event:

-John Cena and D-X defeated Randy Orton, JBL, and Umaga. (Steel Cage Match)

Awesome match, very much the caliber of a typical RAW main event. It starts with all the heels coming to the ring to gang up on Triple H and they all get in the cage until the D-X music hits and place goes crazy. Followed by John Cena's music and crwod gets even louder. Lots of back and forth action with crowd chanting for both Cena and Orton. John Cena gets worked over by the other team until he finally makes a tag to Triple H and he cleans house. Then they all get in the ring and all the faces slam the heels face first into the fence twice then all hit their respective finishers and all three pin at the same time. Great to see live!!!

Then D-X and Cena do some joking around in the ring and do the usual mic routine (Are You Ready!?) with some jokes about how their not millions of viewers not watching at home anymore (its 11:25 by this time). Followed by some working of the crowd to find the loudest part of the arena. Finally all three go to the top of the ramp and do the crotch chop pyro. A pretty cool ending for the night!

- Rock musicians Saving Abel and Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins were in attendance at Sunday night's Sacrifice pay-per-view. One of the members of Saving Abel is currently involved in a relationship with Angelina Love. When Saving Abel was shown on camera, you could spot TNA President Dixie Carter as well as backstage announcer Crystal Louthan behind them.

- Matt Morgan will appear on NBC's "American Gladiators" this season. He has been cast in the role of heel gladiator "Beast," according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He will be lowered from the ceiling in a cage when he competes. There were some contract issues between NBC and TNA that had to be sorted out, but the two sides struck a deal and he has already filmed his segments. Morgan wasn't on last night's premiere but we've been told that he probably won't debut on the show until midseason. This should lead to nice exposure for Morgan and thus TNA. It will be interesting to see whether TNA turns Morgan heel to mesh with his Gladiators persona.

- TNA officials expect Kurt Angle to miss roughly one month of ring time with the neck injury he suffered during a match in Korea, according to WrestlingObserver.com. Before he suffered the injury, the plan was for him to wrestle A.J. Styles at the June pay-per-view. There's still a chance that Angle could return for the Slammiversary event, as it's nearly a month away.
