HEADLINES : Triple H Missing WWE Shows, Big Show as a Heel?, More WWE Notes
Posted by Marc Middleton on 2008/5/9 9:24:17 (1891 reads)

- After last week's run through Canada, WWE is back on the road in the U.S. this week, with both crews running three house shows (SmackDown/ECW has a Monday house show) before their respective televised events. Interesting to note that Shawn Michaels is scheduled for all the RAW house shows this weekend, while Triple H is not. Also, depending on how old the advertising is for the event, some SmackDown shows this weekend have Big Show working as a heel (teaming with Edge) while others have him as a face (teaming with Matt Hardy).

RAW begins their tour tonight, May 9th, at the Dow Event Center in Saginaw, Michigan with Randy Orton vs. Umaga vs. Shawn Michaels in a Triple Threat match and Chris Jericho vs. JBL as the top matches. It should be noted that these matches were being advertised before Backlash took place, with the Triple Threat match being billed as a WWE Title bout.

The RAW crew then moves on to Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo, Michigan on Saturday, May 10th with Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, JBL, Chris Jericho, Hardcore Holly, Beth Phoenix, Paul London & Brian Kendrick, Trevor Murdoch & Lance Cade, Snitsky, Cody Rhodes, Paul Burchill & Katie, Hacksaw Duggan and Santino Marella listed as appearing.

The house show run for RAW ends on Sunday, May 11th at the Breslin Center in East Lansing, Michigan with a 5pm start time.

RAW then broadcasts their final episode before Judgment Day on Monday, May 12th at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan.

The SmackDown/ECW crew starts their run on Saturday, May 10th at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena in Huntington, West Virginia with Undertaker & Batista vs. Edge & Big Show as the advertised main event. Again, this match was announced prior to Backlash. Finlay, MVP, CM Punk, Chavo Guerrero, Matt Hardy, Mark Henry, Michelle McCool and Victoria are also listed as appearing.

The combined crew then runs at the Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio on Sunday, May 11th with a 5pm start time. Announced for the show:
- The Undertaker vs. Edge.
- Big Show & Matt Hardy vs. Mark Henry & MVP.
- Chuck Palumbo vs. Finlay.
- John Morrison & Miz, Michelle McCool, Jamie Noble, Shelton Benjamin, Victoria, Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder, Kofi Kingston, Jesse & Festus, Kenny Dykstra, Vladimir Kozlov and Eve Torres are also scheduled to appear. Interesting to note, Batista is not listed for this event according to the arena's website.

SmackDown/ECW then has a Monday night house show at the Seagate Center in Toledo, Ohio on May 12th. Like Huntington, the show is advertised to be headlined by Undertaker & Batista vs. Edge & Big Show.

The final editions of ECW and SmackDown before Judgment Day take place on Tuesday, May 13th at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
