Posted by Steve Carrier on 2008/5/8 20:26:11 (1682 reads)

Joey Styles has posted his first blog on WWE's "Fan Nation site, announcing, two weeks after being replaced by Mike Adamle on ECW, that he has retired from being a play by play announcer.

Joey, who took a good-natured shot at Adamle earlier in the blog, wrote:

To answer the question that everyone is asking me...I am retired from play by play and I am thrilled with my new position as Director of Digital Media Content for WWE.

Joey said that he will be appearing on Raw, Smackdown and ECW in the future to promote WWE.com.
