RESULTS : WWE RAW Results - May 05. 2008
Posted by Steve Carrier on 2008/5/5 19:20:00 (2304 reads)

- WWE RAW kicks off tonight with clips of William Regal winning the King of the Ring tournament and having his coronation ceremony last Monday night. We see a clip of the return of Mr. Kennedy, where he interrupted Regal's ceremony. The video package shows Regal pulling the plug on the main event last week with Orton and Triple H.

- After the video package, we go live to the arena where Vince McMahon is standing on the stage. Vince addresses Regal's actions from last week's RAW and says as a result of those actions, many WWE fans protested and sent in their feedback, asking Vince to handle the situation. Vince says he finds Regal's actions irreprehensible, but also innovative, daring and visionary. Vince says Regal reminds him of himself and says he is here tonight to 100% endorse Regal as our King and General Manager.

Vince says everyone should show Regal the same amount of respect that they show him. Vince thanks the crowd and the bell rings with Lilian Garcia introducing William Regal, the King of the Ring and RAW General Manager. Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler welcome us to RAW as Regal makes his way into the ring.

Regal gets on the mic and says we might not like him, but we will respect him. He asks if he has our respect, and the crowd boo's. Pity, says Regal. Regal says he is prepared to turn out the lights at his discretion. The crowd chants "Regal Sucks" and the King of the Ring responds with a "So be it" and tells the crew to turn the lights out. The lights in the arena go out as the crowd continues chanting "Regal Sucks."

The lights come back on and Regal says the show will continue tonight, but we might not be able to see it. Regal says he is willing to have the whole show tonight in entire darkness and he will not tolerate disrespect any longer. KENNEDY! The music hits and out comes Mr. Kennedy.

Kennedy gets in the ring and comes face to face with Regal. Kennedy says if Regal wants respect so much, all he has to do is take him up on his offer and go one-on-one with him tonight. Regal says Kennedy just doesn't get it. He tells Kennedy that he is his superior and Kennedy tells him to prove it. Regal says tonight, Kennedy will be in the main event facing the ECW Champion Kane and the WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison and The Miz, and the Money in the Bank winner CM Punk, the former ECW Champion and his bodyguard Bam Neely. Regal seconds that and says Kennedy will be facing the entire ECW roster tonight as part of a deal he has with Armando Estrada where he promised to promote tomorrow night's 100th episode of ECW. The music hits and out comes The Game.

The WWE Champion makes his way into the ring and pardons the interruption and tells Regal he means no disrespect, he just wanted to come congratulate Regal on his newfound position and power. Triple H offers Regal some advice and says if he would like to stay in that new position of power then he needs to not make mistakes. For example, he says, turning the lights out in his match on RAW last week. Triple H says ending the match after RAW was on the air and disrespecting him was a mistake. Triple H tells him that if he wants to keep his power, he does not want to go to war with him. Regal says he wouldn't want to do that, because Triple H is far too busy, bringing up his Steel Cage match with Randy Orton at Judgment Day. Regal changes tonight's main event and makes it the entire ECW roster vs. Triple H and Mr. Kennedy. Regal's music hits and he walks to the back as Triple H and Kennedy look on.

Jerry Lawler mentions that there are 14 Superstars on the ECW roster. Up next, the Divas Lumberjill match with Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix for the WWE Women's Title. We go to commercial.
